OPSA’s Secretaries Day Royal Flush Half Day Conference and Luncheon on 5 September saw the culmination of months of assignments and hard work for the finalists in this year’s OPSA Rexel SA National Office Professional of the Year competition as they presented to a packed crowd at Focus Rooms in Sunninghill.
Nomvula Moloko from Oxfam walked away with top honours after an inspirational presentation on how to make yourself indispensable. She had the crowd on their feet as she described her journey from receptionist to top executive personal assistant.
In the past the finalists got to present to a panel of judges and the winner was announced on Secretaries Day. This year, to celebrate its 30th anniversary, OPSA opened up the voting to all the guests present and they were able to choose their favourite via real-time voting keypads generously provided by Affordable Adventures.
Apart from the serious business of conferencing, guests were also treated to the crazy antics of MC/entertainer Bongi Mthombeni and they got to enjoy a delicious lunch and lots of give-aways.
